International Society for the Advancement of Kinanthrompetry

Level 1

Being able to accurately measure an athlete’s body composition is crucial if you’re going to be able to assist an athlete optimize their training and performance. ISAK (International Society for the Advancement of Kinanthrompetry) is an internationally recognized standard for anthropometric assessment. It’s through their accreditation scheme that athlete support staff or fitness professionals can ensure that their techniques and application is accurate as well establish their individual competency level.

The accreditation courses are a must for anyone who needs to accurately monitor an individual’s body composition.

Meet the experts

The courses are delivered by Alex Taylor (Head of UoB Performance Centre) and Dr Sam Fawkner (Senior Lecturer in Physical Activity and Health at University of Edinburgh).

Alex & Sam, both Level 3 ISAK accredited anthropometrists have been delivering accreditation courses throughout UK and Europe for the past 10 years (including accreditation courses for EIS, ECB, Scottish Rugby, Norwegian Olympic Training Centre, Dublin SNIG). They bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise from both the applied & research field to their courses ensuring candidates have the technical skills and understanding to go forward to become accredited practitioners.
