HOW YOU CAN KEEP YOURSELF AND OTHERS SAFE
Stay home if you’re unwell. Mostly importantly, please don’t come to the club if you have any of the COVID-19 symptoms.
Take regular lateral flow tests. One in three people who have Covid-19 don’t show any symptoms. Taking regular lateral flow tests will enable you to feel confident that you do not have the virus.
We recommend all members, staff and visitors to wear a face covering when moving around inside any of our facilities and not actively exercising.
Clean equipment after use. Please help protect yourself and fellow members by cleaning the gym and class equipment before and after use, with the cleaning products provided. Focus on areas you have touched such as handles and screens. Return all equipment and cleaning products to where they belong.
Use hand sanitiser when entering and exiting different areas.
ADVICE, GUIDELINES & EXPECTATIONS
For classes and other booked sessions, please only arrive 5-minutes before, so that you can enter the studio and do not need to wait in the corridor for the previous group to exit.
Classes and Gym Group Training must be booked online, in advance, either via the website or the UB Sport & Fitness app.
There is no racket sport equipment available to hire, please bring your own equipment for all your activities.
Squash bookings have a maximum of two guests permitted. The lead bookee must be a member of Sport &Fitness, however, non-members are permitted as a guest player of a member.
Badminton bookings have a maximum of five guests permitted.

Yes bookings can be cancelled in advance.
Badminton bookings can be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance and class or squash bookings can be cancelled up to 2 hours in advance.
Bookings must be cancelled online, via the website or the UB Sport & Fitness app. We cannot accept cancellations at reception, via email, Live Chat or telephone.
Yes, for those who have accessibility requirements, the lifts will be in operation but please use the stairs if you can. Please ensure you maintain social distancing when using the lift.
No, all bookings should be made online or via the app. If payments do need to be made at reception for any reason, this must be via contactless or card only, no cash can be accepted.
No equipment will be available to hire from reception. Please bring all equipment with you, we would recommend bringing multiple squash balls / shuttlecocks / tennis balls for your activity.
Unfortunately due to Covid-19 restrictions all lost property is disposed of at the end of each day, please contact reception via Reception@sportandfitness.bham.ac.uk for confirmation if your item has been handed in.
