Handball

UoB Handball is a friendly club that welcomes players of all abilities. Our training is split into ‘Beginner’ sessions (for those who are trying handball for their very first time) & ‘Experienced’ sessions (for individuals who have trained handball before) – we have room for everyone!

Our previous 2 years have been our most successful to date. In the 2018-19 season we had 94 registered members and won our first piece of silverware – the men’s plate at the National University Championships. Last season, we had 100 registered members and managed to take 5 teams (2 Men’s and 3 Women’s) to Uni Champs for the second year running. Here, the Women’s 1st team brought home the silver medal in the plate competition.
As well as taking part in Uni Champs at the end of the season, the club enters a Men’s and a Women’s team in regional leagues, for regular match play.

However, its not all competitive! We attend every sports night and have club socials that cater for everybody.

So, whether you’re a complete novice or a European superstar, don’t miss out on a great opportunity to join our fantastic club.

How to get involved

REGISTER INTEREST

Membership fee – £TBC

Please note that on top of the club fee there is a £16 fee that covers personal accident insurance when training or competing for the University, access to free cross-training sessions such as circuits and yoga, as well as a contribution to the costs of affiliation to various national governing bodies.  This fee is only payable once so if you did decide to join a second club then you would not need to pay a second fee.

Fun, fast, exciting and rewarding.
