The Tennis Club has a total of 7 teams, consisting of 5 BUCS (3 men’s, 2 women’s) and 2 development league teams. The BUCS team sessions aim to optimize and build on players’ advanced skills, by offering a competitive experience through structured coaching with our Level 4 Head Coach.
Alongside the teams, we offer the chance to participate in development and performance tennis sessions. These cater for players of all abilties, from just missing out on the BUCS teams to trying the sport for the first time.
We are also a very sociable club, with socials happening on weekly basis throughout term time, organised by our social secretaries. For more information, please see our official Website and Social Media sites.
How to get involved
The membership fee is BUCS (£160) and Tennis Development and Performance (£100 which reduces to £60 in Term 2). Taster session and/or trial information will be available soon on the UoB Tennis Facebook Page and at the Sports Fair on the 28th September 2018.
Please note that on top of the club fee there is a £16 fee that covers personal accident insurance when training or competing for the University, access to free cross-training sessions such as circuits and yoga, as well as a contribution to the costs of affiliation to various national governing bodies. This fee is only payable once so if you did decide to join a second club then you would not need to pay a second fee.
