Squash

Squash is a game of two players on one court, involving agility, strategy, power, and speed. It has one of the highest Metabolic Equivalent of Task (MET) values (estimate of how many calories are burned during a specific physical activity) across all game-based sports, meaning it improves fitness while having fun!

From those who want to pick up a racket for the first time, to professional level squash, the University of Birmingham welcomes all abilities to enjoy and develop their game. We provide training from first team players through to social members and encourage all to attend social events together.

Our squash club is an inclusive and friendly community; here, you can learn to play, meet friends and compete in one of the most prestigious clubs and facilities in the UK.
